WYATT AND JONES, BROADSTAIRS. Michelin guide listed

MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Follow the narrow road under the arch and towards the beach; here you’ll find 3 old fishermen’s cottages with sea views and a lovely vintage feel. Flavoursome Mediterranean-influenced small plates have a seafood bias – 3-4 each makes a satisfying meal. The interesting wine list offers everything by the glass.

BROADSTAIRS. Home to the well heeled and Scarlett soled.

If there was going to be a stand out restaurant anywhere, you would head here first.

Surprisingly (or not so surprising) and despite a strong restaurant presence, there are few here that have gained any official recognition.

Here at Wyatt and Jones, just meters from the stunning golden sands of Viking Bay, they have  captured the essence of what fine dining means by the seaside. Passion.

This passion has earned them a listing in the Michelin guide.

As the comments from Michelin say, the bias is towards seafood, and so it should be, how can you command this position and not celebrate the fruits of the sea?

Here we find a considered menu which avoids the trappings of pretentiousness, and steers firmly to the pleasing side of quality.

A roast dinner of the highest order can be thoroughly enjoyed, the elements of which having been elevated to incomparable levels.

Broadstairs may be a foodie destination sadly saturated with expensive mediocrity, thankfully here at Wyatt and Jones you will find none of that, and every bit deserved of its listing in the Michelin guide.
